Choc Studio was founded in 2007 by Robbert Maarsen and Julia de Jong. We design modern chic, thoughtful interiors for new and existing homes. From new builds to renovations and restylings: we guide the complete process - from design to realization. We invite you to our studio in Bennebroek. Here you tell us about your wishes, how you live, what inspires you. Our studio immediately shows who we are and at what level we work. We discuss the possibilities for your project and how we can work together. After this conversation, you’ll receive a detailed quote within one week. No obligations, just a good conversation.
We develop a complete interior design: floor plans, 3D visualizations, lighting design, color, product and material plans, mood boards. In our studio you can see and feel products and materials: fabrics, wood, stone, metal. Multiple design sessions ensure the design is exactly right. Each project receives a custom approach: we don’t use ready-made templates.
Depending on your choice, we either guide the execution or take everything off your hands. From coordinating contractors to purchasing, storing, and placing furniture and styling. We work with a reliable network of specialists: kitchen builders, bathroom suppliers, flooring contractors, painters, upholsterers. You work directly with us – the owners – not with junior staff.

We deliberately have no proprietary collection or showroom. That means: we have access to a broad spectrum of brands and suppliers - from international design labels to Dutch craftsmen. We recommend what best fits your design and budget, without limitation to a single collection.
In our studio in Bennebroek, we present designs and show materials. Extensive sample cabinets with fabrics, wood, stone, leather and metal. Examples of lighting, kitchen details and furniture. Here you get an immediate sense of the level at which we work.
Robbert has worked across the full spectrum: from IKEA to Eric Kuster, from budget to high-end. Julia combines strategic insight with design talent - from marketing strategist and project manager to interior designer. Since 2007 we've worked together and know exactly what's needed to go from design to realization.
We work with an hourly rate of €95. After our initial meeting, we provide a detailed quote based on your specific project.
Yes. We offer three options: (1) design only, (2) design + guidance during execution or (3) full service where we handle everything. Most clients choose option 2 or 3, but the choice is yours.
That depends on the trajectory:
- design only: 6-12 weeks
- design + guidance: 10-20 weeks
- full service: 20-40+ weeks
The timeline is influenced by project complexity, your decision-making, supplier delivery times and any structural modifications. Each project is custom, so we provide a realistic timeline after our initial meeting.

Yes, we're bilingual. All communication, presentations, and documentation can be in English or Dutch, whatever you prefer.

Large firms often have 10-100+ employees and work multidisciplinary (architecture + interior + building physics). We're a boutique studio: more personal contact, faster decision-making and fully focused on interiors. No bureaucracy, just expertise.
No. We do have our own signature - modern chic, layered, comfortable - but that's our vision, not an obligation. The interior needs to suit you, not us. That's why we first listen carefully to how you live and what you find beautiful. Our portfolio shows that each project looks different.

With full service, we handle purchasing completely: we select products, request quotes, coordinate delivery times, arrange storage and transport and ensure placement and styling.
