Classic charm with a modern chic twist
In the forests of North Holland lies this former coach house that was ready for an interior update. To create more space, the designers of Choc Studio removed the wall between the TV room and the kitchen, resulting in a spacious family kitchen. The wooden floor was repaired, sanded and lightened. All walls and woodwork were painted in fresh, modern tones. Where possible, recessed lighting was added for a sleek finish.
The question: how do you bring more space and light into a classic home, without losing its charm?
The owners wanted to modernize their home while preserving its traditional atmosphere. How do you make a property more spacious and bright, without compromising its authenticity?
The solution: modernization with respect for history
Choc Studio combined classic charm with a modern chic twist. Opening up walls brought in more light and created room to breathe. Fresh colors and materials added brightness, while details such as the wooden floor and rich fabrics kept the warmth.
The result: a balanced and characterful country house
The interior features furniture from Italian brands such as Meridiani, Frigerio, and Pure Choc. Limited Edition rugs and fabrics from Casamance and Romo enhance the warm atmosphere. Lighting from Stout, Fabbian, and Modular completes the design.
