Modernising without major works: a fresh, contemporary home

The owners wanted a more contemporary look without major renovations. Choc Studio proposed targeted updates: new kitchen fronts, added storage and re-tiling the classic bathroom. Custom steel doors introduce a contemporary line, while fresh paint and new window treatments create a coherent, updated feel.

The question: how do you modernise a villa without major renovation?

The aim: more up-to-date style and cohesion, while keeping the warm, country feel. Which changes truly improve look and everyday use – without demolition or construction?

The solution: focused updates with high impact

A considered colour and materials scheme set the tone. Steel doors clarify the spatial flow; new fronts and added built-ins improve daily use. The bathroom has been retiled to create a calm base. Paintwork and textiles tie the whole together into a cohesive interior.

The result: country character with a modern edge

Furnishings include pieces by Meridiani and Marac. Luxury furniture fabrics by Casamance, Villa Nova and Romo add warmth; rugs by Limited Edition create a soft foundation. Accessories from Pure Choc and Zinc complete the scheme. Lighting by Stout, Fabbian, Layer by Adje, Foscarini and Modular balances mood and function.
