1. the design
A design must be feasible as well as beautiful. We create designs that are both imaginative and realistic, and translate them into an interior plan that works.

from first sketch to finished home.
Good interiors begin with a plan, not with the furniture. Choc Studio is an interior design studio in the Haarlem area. We design, guide and realise interior projects for new builds, renovations and existing homes, from the first sketch to the finished interior.
the designers behind choc studio
We are Choc Studio: Robbert Maarsen and Julia de Jong. From the first conversation onwards, you deal with the two of us directly. Between us we have more than thirty years in the interiors industry. That experience means what we design holds up in practice.
At many firms the designer's job ends once the drawings are finished. The result is not settled at that point: who carries out the work, with which products and in what order matter just as much. That's why we stay involved until the furniture is in place.

how choc studio works
An interior project moves through three phases, in a fixed order. Start preparing without a design and you will prepare the wrong things. Start furnishing without a plan and you will buy the wrong things.
2. the preparation
A good design only comes into its own with the right execution. We translate the design into what each trade needs and keep the whole thing coherent while the work is done.
3. the realisation
An interior is only complete when everything is in place. We handle the selection, the purchasing, the storage and the installation of furniture, upholstery, lighting and accessories.
clients about choc studio
"After seeing a beautiful feature in Stijlvol Wonen, we discovered Choc Studio. The modern chic style with warmth immediately appealed to us. That was exactly what we wanted. They guided us perfectly in our journey through the world of interiors. Robbert and Julia sometimes encouraged us to make slightly bolder choices, and they took so much of the burden off our shoulders throughout the entire process. In the most relaxed way, our home has become even more beautiful than we had dreamed."
"Because we wanted to get it right the first time, we asked Choc Studio to think along with us. Their style is exactly our taste and it was a real pleasure working with them. Even though we had a clear idea of what we wanted, it turned out to be essential to have a professional interior designer involved. There was so much more they guided us through, because they know exactly what is possible. Thanks to them, our interior has truly been taken to the next level."
“Julia and Robbert quickly understood what we were looking for. They had clear ideas about how our interior could take shape, yet gave us plenty of room to indicate what did and didn’t feel right for us. We ended up making choices we would never have thought of ourselves and they turned out absolutely fantastic.”
