what happens during the consultation?
We invite you to our studio in Bennebroek. You tell us about your wishes and project, we show you who we are and how we work. Afterwards you receive a detailed quote within one week for your specific project and chosen service level. No cost, no obligations.
do I need to know exactly what I want?
No. Many clients start with just a general idea. During our meeting we help you clarify your wishes.
what does it cost to hire you?
We work with an hourly rate of €95. Total costs depend on the scope of your project (one room, one floor or complete house), the chosen service level (design only, guidance or full service), and the complexity of the assignment (new build, renovation or restyling).
when in the process should I involve you?
For new builds and renovations: as early as possible. Ideally before architectural choices are finalised. Layout, lighting, heating - these decisions determine the interior later. The earlier we're involved, the more design freedom there is and the better everything can be coordinated. Changes afterwards are expensive and often limited.
For restyling: whenever you're ready. For restyling an existing home there's less time pressure. However, it's good to know that a project takes an average of 6-40+ weeks, depending on the chosen service level.
will I work with you or with junior staff?
You work directly with us: Robbert Maarsen and Julia de Jong, the owners. Personal contact from beginning to end.
what if I already have a contractor?
No problem: with services 2 and 3 we coordinate with your contractor and other specialists. With service 1 you work completely independently.
how quickly can I get an appointment?
Usually within 1-2 weeks, depending on our schedule.
do you also work in Dutch?
Yes, we're bilingual. All communication can be in English or Dutch, whatever you prefer.
