Luxury and comfortable interior design in the Haarlem area
For this new-build villa in Bloemendaal, Choc Studio created an interior that combines luxury, functionality and family-friendly living. The generous living and dining areas were designed for entertaining, while tall custom cabinets around the fireplace give the room a gentlemen’s club feel. Next to the living room, a dedicated playroom was added for the children. The style of the ground floor continues seamlessly through the upper levels, with the basement offering space for a private bar and home cinema.
The question: how do you combine luxury with practical family living?
The clients wanted a villa that not only expressed elegance but also supported everyday family life. How do you design an interior that feels luxurious and refined, while remaining practical and welcoming for both adults and children?
The solution: bespoke design from the ground up
Choc Studio developed a concept where comfort and elegance go hand in hand. Bespoke elements — such as tall cabinets framing the fireplace — add character and structure to the layout. The children’s playroom connects directly to the living area, ensuring proximity without disrupting the calm atmosphere. In the basement, relaxation and hospitality take centre stage with a bar and private home cinema.
The result: a villa of comfort and elegance
The home is furnished with Italian design brands such as Meridiani, Marac and Flexform, complemented by furniture from the Pure Choc line. Rugs from Limited Edition and curtain fabrics from Casamance and Romo add warmth and texture. Lighting by Layer by Adje, Modular, Contardi and Flos highlights the luxurious atmosphere. The customization, designed by Choc Studio and produced by Oostergracht, provides cohesion and sophistication. The result is a new construction villa where every space is stylish, functional and comfortable.
